Was this the point of the super capacitor which is no longer available, and what would be the power usage to replace that capacitor with a battery? What you're looking for is a backup battery. For reference I need a lock each 5 minutes and I am wondering how I can start from hot start each time. I am wondering if anyone has used an external SD card so the chip can start from hot start each time? Or if there is another way to prevent cold start each lock.
